25hours hotel Hafencity, Hamburg – Germany

The taxi ride from the airport lasted longer than I expected. I arrived around 1pm at 25hours hotel Hafencity in Hamburg, Germany. The 25hours hotel or 25H in short, is situated right in the Hamburg Harbor and is located only 200 meters away from the Hamburg Maritime Museum. Meßberg Underground Station is only a 10-minute walk away providing services to all parts of the city. 25H has 170 rooms all together. Each and every room or cabins as they prefer to call it – are stylish and is inspired by harbours and shipbuildings. 25H features a meeting space for up to 200 guests, a club floor to relax, a sauna and a kiosk in the reception area where guests can buy practical goods and souvenirs.

The Heimat Café and Bar is the only restaurant 25hours hotel have in the property. It can be found on the ground floor, right next to the entrance.

Guests can enjoy Hanseatic cuisine, international dishes, drinks and even live music in the evenings during the weekend.

A rich breakfast buffet is served daily at the 25hours hotel where children up to the age of six is free of charge. The restaurant charges EUR 8,50 for children aged seven to twelve and double EUR 17,00 for adults.

If you don’t have time to sit and enjoy a delicous breakfast, hotel guests can buy a Grab+Go breakfast from the lobby for only EUR 7,00 per person.

I had the privilege of staying in a stylish maritime themed air-conditioned M cabins⁺ room for two nights featuring a queen sized bed, a separated bathroom with a rain shower and an overlooking view of Hamburg’s spectacular port. The room is also equipped with a flat-screen TV, an iPod docking station, a minibar and a working desk. All rooms have free Wi-Fi.
