Hotel 25hours, Vienna – Austria

Hotel 25-hours or 25H in short, is a unique and playfully decorated hotel situated in the 7th district in Vienna. I haven’t stayed in a hotel like this one before so living here was an experience itself. I can surely say that it’s different from the luxury hotel that I previously stayed at. I recommend youngsters, hipsters and fashionistas to book a room there and try it out at least for one night. The hotel is surrounded by many museums and is a few steps away from trams, buses and underground lines. The popular Mariahilfer Straße Shopping Street is only a 15-minute walk away.

25H was renovated and expanded in 2013 and has now 219 rooms all together including 34 suites with kitchenettes. The hotel has a small kiosk on the ground floor where guests can buy practical goods and souvenirs.

The hotel also has three restaurants; Burger de Ville, Dachboden and 1500 food markers. The latter is where they serve delicious breakfast each morning where children up to the age of six is free of charge.

The restaurant charges EUR 8,50 for children aged seven to twelve and double EUR 17,00 for adults.

If you don’t have time to sit and eat breakfast, guests can buy a Grab+Go breakfast from the lobby for only EUR 7,00 per person.

L- ROOM – THE CIRCUS THEMED ROOM

Each room at the 25H features a unique design of vintage and modern furniture. I was lucky to have the privilege of staying in a circus themed room which gave me all sorts of fun flashbacks from my childhood when my dad used to take me to the circus. I had an L-room as they call it with a view of the park and the city. I was staying there for two nights in a queen sized bed with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, iPod and iPhone docking station, desk, minibar, a separated toilet, bathroom with a shower and a standing bathtub. All rooms have air conditioning.
