Château d’Urspelt – Luxembourg

Summary One of the first things to do when booking a night at the Chateau d'Urspelt is hiring a car and make sure to bring a GPS or use google maps. The hotel is situated approximately an hour away from the capital city of Luxembourg. Stian and I got lost and ended up in Brussels since we didn’t pay attention to the roads at night. If you’re opt for a dinner in another country St. Vith is only a 20 minute drive away from the hotel. The staff was attentive and always came with a big bright smile. Fatou always made sure we had everything we needed. Despite closed kitchen, she managed to gather the team and made us one of the most delicious tapas I’ve ever had in a hotel. Our room was always clean. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to connect our Netflix to the tv, luckily I brought my iPad with me. The food was alright. I couldn’t find any lactose free options so I had to ask for it. To my biggest surprise, the staff came out with a wide selection of lactose and gluten free food. The bread was delicious. On our second morning the breakfast was as delicious as the day before, but unfortunately the staff had forgotten my bread so she rushed off to the kitchen and back after a few minutes with bread that was still frozen on the inside. All in all the our stay was a memorable one. Thank you to the team for making us feel home away from home in Luxembourg. I do hope we meet again.
