Hotel Villa del Quar – Verona, Italy

The award-winning Hotel Villa del Quar was built in Roman times and was a Mansio from 47 A.D. It was used as a horse post station. The antique Villa did not only have stables, it also had shops, a market, a garden and rooms - it may be the oldest operating hotel in the world.

Located in Veneto only 5 km away from the city of love, Verona - within blooming summer gardens, trees and vineyards, the antique boutique hotel houses 13 suites and 12 doubles set in an enchanting and peaceful surrounding.

The Villa is furnished with a mix of antiques and modern pieces. It has a library, a tea room and a fitness centre for the health conscious. It also features an outdoor pool with sun loungers, a fascinating garden and two helicopter landing pads. Villa del Quar has an antique wine cellar where guests can taste wines produced on site.

The Villa has to restaurants; Gazebo and Arquade offering everything from breakfast to fine dining.

Deluxe Suite

The Deluxe Suite was situated on the second floor overlooking the beautiful garden.

Nothing screams more luxury than a king size bed with a red velvet headboard with gold details. Our 52 square metre air-conditioned room with attic windows had two separate living rooms -  where one was equipped with a flat-screen TV with Satellite channels.

The room has its own walk in closet and a working desk with views overlooking the garden. The bathroom speaks for itself. The marble tiles adds a sense of luxury to the bathroom and gives it a timeless and elegant appeal. It has a separated shower and a bathtub equipped with a hairdryer and toiletries from Etro.
