LOVELY HOTEL WITH A BEAUTIFUL VIEW, INCREDIBLE FOOD,
UNIQUE EXPERIENCE, EXCELLENT SERVICE AND STAFF
Maya and I spent our first two nights at the lovely Kapari Natural Resort – a 5-star luxury boutique hotel located in Imerovigli, Santorini. A village that is mostly famous for its beautiful sunset. The area is rather quiet and it’s a perfect escape for couples or friends without children. If you wish to be in a busier place during the evening, the town of Fira is only a 10 minute walk away – you will find all sorts of shops, bars and restaurants there.
We were picked up at the Airport in a black minivan by the hotels own private chauffeur. He is one of the kindest and friendliest driver I have met. If you ever plan to stay at Kapari please ask for Tani, he will take good care of you and drive you safely around the island.
When I was at the reception desk checking in, Konstantina and the other hotel staff impressively greeted me by my name before I had the chance to introduce myself, making me feel like I had been welcomed home. The hotel manager, Michael took very good care of us and told us many interesting facts about Kapari Natural Resort and it’s history. He even arranged a private tour for us so we could explore the beauty of the island.
Kapari Natural Resort has 19 rooms and suites with a beautiful view of the caldera. The hotel features an infinity pool with a panoramic view of the Aegean Sea, a bar that serves freshly squeezed juices and refreshing cocktails, and a restaurant where guests can enjoy a rich breakfast each morning. On our last evening Maya and I had a lovely dinner at the Kapari Wine Restaurant. John, Dora and Alexandra – responsible for costumer service provided us with excellent service. They also helped us all the way through finding a great suiting menu to finding the best matching wines to complete our dinner experience. The restaurant offer Mediterranean dishes based on home made recipes created by their experienced chef George. I will tell you more about his mouth watering menu in another article.
THE PRIVATE RESIDENCE AT KAPARI NATURAL RESORT
There was a fruit platter awaiting our arrival, a welcome card, fresh roses, and the most incredible Private Residence I had ever had the pleasure of staying in, in my life. We were lucky to have spent two wonderful nights in a traditional cave house with an exquisite view. After settling in Maya and I got to enjoy a refreshing cocktail made by Dora while watching my first sunset in Santorini.
The cave house features a custom built outdoor Jacuzzi, a “smart-home” control system, a Duxiana king sized bed, a bathroom with a separate shower, a living room with a comfortable sofa, a fully appointed kitchen and a dining table. The spacious air conditioned residence is also equipped with a flat-screen TV, safe, hair dryer, bathrobe and slippers. Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and suites.
We had a unique experience at the hotel. The staff made our stay so memorable that it was very hard for us to leave. Thanks to everyone who works at Kapari – each and every one of you truly made us feel home and a part of your family.
