Palais Hansen Kempinski Hotel, Vienna – Austria

I just arrived at the Palais Hansen Kempinski hotel and was greeted with a smiling staff that instantly made me feel like home. I was showed to my beautiful room where a bottle of wine and some delicious treats were waiting for me. I was surprised and impressed by it especially because I found my favorite dessert – my beloved french macarons. The hotel staff took really good care of me and always made sure that I had everything that I needed.

The luxury hotel has 152 rooms all together and is situated in the heart of Vienna right at the famous Ring Boulevard, in Schottenring street to be more exact. It’s close to everything, shopping streets, museums and other historical monuments. Sights like the Burgtheater and St. Stephen’s Catherdral are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. The luxurious Palais Hansen Kempinski was built as a hotel for the World Exhibition in Vienna in 1873.

The hotel has 2 restaurants; The Michelin-starred restaurant Edvard and Die Küche. The latter is where they serve delicious breakfast buffet from 6:30-10:30. The hotel has also 2 bars, a spa and fitness center that has a sauna area, 6 treatment rooms, a hydro pool and all the equipment you need for your workout.

I was lucky to have the privilege of trying their classic massage at their spa which I highly recommend to massage-lovers.

THE JUNIOR SUITE – A CLASSIC SUITE

I was staying in an amazing junior suite for three nights featuring the most comfortable king size bed, a working desk, sofa, a flat-screen TV, a laptop-size safe and a separate bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. The room is decorated with high-quality fabrics and carpets and is equipped with an iPad and a Nespresso machine for coffee lovers. All rooms are non-smoking.
